Toughest Time of the Year

The past week has been bitter sweet...my oldest daughter Kendra 6, started kindergarten and my youngest son Keagan 4, started pre-k.  At first I thought this was going to be a great time because I could get a little housework and me time done for a few hours.  It didn't hit me until I was putting my daughter on the bus; I wouldnt have her around during the day giving me those sassy looks and smiles telling me she loves me.  Today was my son's first day of Pre-K and after I dropped him off..I didn't know what to do..the house was way too quiet for me.  Granted at times my summer was hectic because the two of them together is not always pleasant, but oddly enough I miss hearing them.  Many people always talk about how fast time goes...and I never really realized it until I had kids.  I always look at my kids baby pictures and think about how fast they have grown.  I love them to pieces and I cant imagine them ever getting any bigger...I want to keep them small forever.

  2. We're really feeling this way because we are living it via Susan with Austin. My advice? Find something that will keep you busy work-wise. The pre-K day goes quickly especially if only half days and really so does the K day, but it is lonely. Love them, kiss them, and hold on tight because it does go fast!!
